For our excavator drill conversions, oil leakage and seepage are often caused by deformation, aging, or wear of the main oil seals. Under long-term high-temperature, high-pressure, and high-speed conditions, the oil seal can deform or age, even high-quality seals are prone to deformation under such conditions. After deformation, the sealing lip loses tension, leading to oil leakage. Dust and impurities during operation can also accumulate on the cylinder rod, so the dust seal prevents these contaminants from entering the cylinder, protecting both the cylinder and the oil seal. If the dust seal is damaged, impurities and dust will enter directly into the cylinder head, damaging the internal seals. In dusty conditions, the oil seal can wear out within hours.
For our excavator drill conversions, shielding is an effective method to prevent lightning electromagnetic pulse radiation from affecting electronic devices. Road construction operations often take place in outdoor environments. The electrical control systems of construction machinery, especially microelectronic control devices, are highly susceptible to damage from direct lightning strikes or lightning-induced overvoltage. In areas like the limestone mountain region of the Jingzhu Expressway, lightning is frequent during the rainy season, and lightning strikes can damage construction machinery. Even in cloudless, non-rainy weather, induced lightning can occur, generating surge voltages that invade and damage the microelectronic control devices of the paver. Thus, lightning protection is essential. Due to the concentration of asphalt mixing equipment and supporting machinery in one production plant, centralized lightning protection is possible, so a lightning rod is installed in the mixing plant. The lightning rod height exceeds the highest point of the mixing tower, providing effective protection radius to prevent direct lightning strikes to any machinery.
For our excavator drill conversions, hydraulic oil tanks typically have an air filter that also serves as an oil inlet. When the machine travels on rough surfaces or when the hydraulic cylinder rapidly returns, oil is likely to leak out of the air filter. This not only wastes oil but also causes environmental pollution. While baffles in the oil tank can somewhat prevent oil fluctuations, they do not entirely eliminate the issue. To resolve this, a protective sleeve has been added to the oil tank. The sleeve is welded to the tank and raised above the tank’s upper plane, with numerous small holes drilled in it. This effectively prevents oil from spilling due to fluctuations and helps avoid oil leaks caused by air bubbles generated when air mixes with the system.
